Woodland Gateway
Alston, Cumbria
Originally an overgrown grass verge on the edge of a small wood, we set out to build a stone entrance that would catch the eye.
After a small amount of landscaping with the mini digger, it was time to get building. Four stone pillars with connecting walls were constructed, the walls were then capped off with stone flags and the pillars topped off with matching sawn pyramid shaped stones.
Finally the gates were hung and a set of log steps built to lead you in to this woodland walk.
